The Columbia Mountains Institute rarely conducts
research projects. It is our members that do the research, as
individual entities.
The projects listed below were conducted in
southeastern British Columbia over the last decade. Some of the items are
"grey literature" and is not found in published journals. Please contact the
authors directly for more information.

| | Archive of CMI Member Bulletins | | Members of the Columbia Mountains Institute of Applied Ecology receive regular news updates by email. Content is presented in "digest" style, and includes items of interest to people working in the various fields of applied ecology in southeastern British Columbia. Members send information about publications, conferences, web sites, funding opportunities, job postings, etc. to the CMI office, where it is compiled and sent out in a bulletin at the rate of
one or two per month. Members also receive advance notice of courses and conferences. For the benefit of non-CMI members, the following links provide access to archived CMI member updates. These emails have been edited for the sake of brevity. This archive is updated
about twice each year. Members wishing to have a particular update sent again are welcome to contact the CMI office with their request. If you would like to join the Columbia Mountains Institute of Applied Ecology, call the CMI office at 250-837-9311 or click here to print out the membership form. Other benefits of membership include reduced registration fees at conferences and being part of a network people with an interest in applications of ecology.The CMI email updates have replaced the semi-annual newsletters. Columbia Mountains Institute newsletters were discontinued in March, 2002. Members now receive information by monthly or semi-monthly email digests. To view an archive of these emails, click here. This archive is updated two or three times a year. Receiving the email updates on your computer, usually once or twice each month, is a privilege of membership in the Columbia Mountains Institute of Applied Ecology. Membership costs are $25.00 per year for a regular member, $15.00 for students, and $100 for a corporate membership.

| National Park Feature Articles | Parks Canada is a valued supporter of the Columbia Mountains Institute of Applied Ecology. The following information sheets and articles were produced by Parks. | | Illecillewaet & Beaver River Watersheds Resource Atlas | This atlas is a guide to available natural and cultural information within the Illecillewaet & Beaver watersheds of the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains of British Columbia, Canada. It includes a detailed base map and several example data layers. The atlas also presents text summaries of the data and guides to the original databases, reports, papers, and researchers for each resource theme. The atlas will continue to expand as additional resource layers are added. Anyone who would like to participate in the project is invited to contact the Columbia Mountains Institute of Applied Ecology office@cmiae.org. 
| | Funding Sources for Applied Ecological Research | This list of funding sources was assembled in 1999 for the benefit of researchers wishing to establish applied ecological research projects in the Columbia Mountains. The Columbia Mountains Institute recommends contacting each source for the most complete and up-to-date information.
