Resources in and around the Illecillewaet are numerous,
especially within the National Historic Site of Rogers Pass,
in Glacier National Park.
The recorded History
of the Illecillewaet and Beaver River Watersheds goes back to
the early 1800's. Important events in the context of Canadian
history occurred in these watersheds.
