The
Illecillewaet River Watershed is a 1,202 kmē area located
northeast of Revelstoke, British Columbia.
The
Illecillewaet River starts in Glacier National Park (green area
on right) and flows southwest through provincial lands along the
southern boundary of Mount Revelstoke National Park (green area
on left). The City of Revelstoke is located in the most
south-western zone (on the left). The Trans-Canada Highway and
Canadian Pacific Railway traverse the watershed following the
Illecillewaet from Rogers Pass (near the centre of Glacier) to
Revelstoke. The Revelstoke Reservoir and the Arrow Reservoir are
aligned north-south (on the left) in the area previously
occupied by the Columbia River.
