This 90-second film about Mountain Caribou is provided courtesy of Parks Canada. It is part of an exhibit in the Rogers Pass Visitor Centre in Glacier National Park. The film briefly describes the animal and its needs, and introduces some of the issues related to their decline in population numbers. The film clip was produced in 2001.
Footage in this film is taken from a twenty minute film titled On The Edge, which addresses mountain caribou and other animals whose continued existence depends on appropriate land use in and around Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks. It can be viewed in the Rogers Pass Centre or purchased from the Friends of Mount Revelstoke and Glacier (fmrg@telus.net) for $9.95 plus taxes.
